How do I revoke an LPA as a donor?
A donor may revoke an LPA registration by completing and submitting the necessary revocation form to the Office of the Public Guardian. Your donees must also be notified of your decision to revoke the LPA.
How do I challenge the validity of an LPA?
If you wish to challenge dispute an LPA registration, you may raise an objection with the Office of the Public Guardian within the 3-week waiting period when an LPA application is received.
To challenge the validity of an LPA post-registration, an application to revoke the LPA must be filed in Court. Grounds supporting the application would include if the LPA was made under undue pressure, or if the donor did not possess mental capacity at the time of executing the LPA.
