Contested Deputyship: Objecting to a deputyship application
How do I object to a deputyship application?
If you believe that a deputy (who has already obtained a deputyship order) or a pending deputyship application is not the best person to become a deputy, you may raise an objection.
To challenge a deputyship application, you must file an affidavit stating the grounds of your objection. The affidavit would include reasons as to why the intended deputy would not act in your loved one’s best interests.
If you wish you object to a deputyship appointment after the Court has granted the order, you may do so by filing an application in Court to revoke or vary the order.
